
Program Description
NTNU offers a 2-years international MSc program in reliability, availability, maintainability, and safety (RAMS). To be admitted, students have to hold a BSc in a technical discipline. The whole program is 120 credits (in the European system) and the students have to take ten courses, each of 7.5 credits, write a project thesis (15 credits) and a master thesis (30 credits). The master thesis is usually written in cooperation with industry. Most of the courses are also taken as optional courses in several other study programs at NTNU. Some of our courses have up to 160 students.

The RAMS Group is at the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, NTNU. The research activities of the RAMS Group are mainly related to

A main part of the research projects are related to the energy industries and public sectors, such as transportation and healthcare.
