DOE-2: Application of Design of Experiments for Spot Welding Process

Dear Friends, we hope you have seen our first video on Introduction to Design of Experiments DOE)! Here is my second video on DOE! I have illustrated a case study of DOE application to Spot Welding process! The Case study is about application of Full Factorial Design with three factors, each at two levels. The video assumes that viewers have seen our first video on Introduction to DOE.

In this video, I have illustrated the structure of DOE Full Factorial Design. Analysis of the experiment for main effects, interactions, main effect and interaction plots is discussed with graphics and animations where appropriate for easy understanding of the concepts. The video will be useful for all those who want to learn the technique of statistically designed experiments and also to all those who wish to prepare for various exams by American Society for Quality (ASQ). In my next video, I will explain how to establish a regression equation and use it for optimization using SigmaXL software.

The video is created by Hemant Urdhwareshe, who is a Fellow of ASQ and is certified by ASQ as MBB, CRE, Certified CQE, and CMQ/OE.
