About Us at Accendo Reliability
Accendo Reliability is a publishing platform that enables many to share their knowledge with the site visitors. While we tend to focus on reliability engineering topics, we also publish content from related fields such as quality engineering, risk management, project management, and safety.
The purpose of Accendo Reliability is to help engineers and managers that create or produce products or systems to master reliability engineering tools, techniques, and concepts so they can create reliable products, efficiently maintain systems, and advance thier careers.
The Mission of Accendo Reliability
There are two elements to our misssion statement:
First, to provide reliability engineering professional development material that enables individuals to improve their reliability program and career.
Second, to provide a platform for authors, podcasters, speakers, and instructors to reach a reliability engineering audience.
The basic idea is to share and encourage discussions by:

Respect each other and prior work
We learn best by sharing our ideas and questions. We can support each other, as we are all asking different yet similar questions. By sharing our respective insights, knowledge, and experience we all have the opportunity to learn.
Understand that we each arrive via a different path and with different views. If you don’t understand some one else’s opinion or statements, express your confusion and ask for clarity.
Copyright
Individuals work, including articles, podcasts, interviews, webinar, course materials, and comments are their own work. They retain the copyrights to their own work. Accendo Reliability asks for the license to publish and promote the content being shared.
Acknowledge the work of others using conventional citation as with technical papers.
Authors and contributors to Accendo Reliability retain copyright to their work and may use it on other sites, forums, or formats as they wish. By publishing via Accendo Reliability you are providing a copyright license to share your work with the audience of Accendo Reliability. We may edit, format, repackage your work in order to further share your work with the Accendo Reliability audience.
The content individuals share or sell via Accendo Reliability is their material to share or sell.
Advertising
We will not advocate or promote products or services in a deceptive manner. Nor will we use undisclosed sponsored content.
We will indicate clearly when a link may result in financial gain, as with affiliate links.
We will not use banner ads, paid placement of links or images, or similar forms of advertising on the site, as they distract from the purpose of the site to provide reliable engineering professional development content. We may create pages or sections of the site that are clearly paid content placements and indicate the material as such. The compilation of such content, such as reliability software vendors, is primarily to aid site visitors learn about the options available to them.
Content
First, the content on the site is educational. The intent is to share content that is practical and informative.
Second, the content may help the reader to know, like and trust the author.
Authors may include links to thier organization, books, websites on their About pages along with text that explains why the reader may want to engage with that material or site. Advertising within content is discouraged and at most should be a ‘for more information’ type sentence and link – if relevent to the topic of the content. Links within the content should focus on related articles or content on the site to add clarification or amplication of key concepts within the content.
Referrals and Leads
If you generate consulting or other work from your contributions to Accendo Reliability, you do not owe Accendo Reliability a referral or finder’s fee. Of course, if you’d like to share such a fee that would be appreciated, yet you are under no obligation to do so.
Leads and emails generated on the site based on your call to action, such as signing up for an email list, are your leads and information. You do not have exclusive access to the gathered data, as we also collect information about visitor and member interests on the site. For example, if you have an email sign-up, we tag those signing up for the list as interested in your work in a master email list for Accendo Reliability. We can provide you with email capability within the site to use with your email marketing if your use of the email system aligns with the principles outlined here. You do not have access to lists gathered by others or the master list.
Email and other information are gathered with the explicit permission of the person providing the information. We use double opt-in methods when gathering new email addresses and other personal information.
Always include an obvious means to unsubscribe from email marketing messages.
